International social network “IN Uppsala” is pleased to invite you for panel discussion about life of expats in Uppsala. What challenges and suprises do people meet when they move to Uppsala? Why Sweden is one of the most interesting countries for life? The speakers will share their experience on how they became famous and successful in Uppsala and what it took them to integrate to the Swedish society.

The panel discussion will finish with kick-off presentation of “IN Uppsala”  - non-profit organisation that strives to make internationally friendly community in Uppsala, easily accessible to everyone who moved here for work, study and new experience.

Participants of the discussion:

  • Jason Dainter expat from Great Britain, founder of Uppstart one of Sweden’s largest tech startup meetups
  • Antonio Mastroianni, expat from the USA, Chief Operating Officer at Uppsala Monitoring Centre, WHO Collaborating Centre for International Drug Monitoring.
  • Francesco Ciabuschi, expat from Italy, professor of International Business at Uppsala University. He is also deputy head of department and director of research.He teaches at the undergraduate, graduate, executive MBA, and doctoral programs.
  • Rebecca Larssonexpat from the USA.

Moderator of the discussion: Patric Palm, Chairman and CEO of Hansoft, the person who spends half of his life in Sillicon Valley, San Francisco and another half in Uppsala.
